Rainbow caterpillar (paperfolding)

Make this fun caterpillar craft with us. It’s easy, it’s fun, it’s from paper and you can have fun with it once it’s done.

Materials:

Coloured paper

Glue

Pencil

Ruler

Scissors

Let’s get started:

1, First you need to pick 2-6 colours that you like. Then you need to cut out 1 strip that are 2,5 centimeters wide of each paper.

2, Take two strips and glue the end together into a V shape.

3, Take the bottom strip and bend it over in the opposite direction. In this case I have bend the cream strip in the photo.

4, Now bend your other strip over the first one. This time I have bend the yellow strip. Keep repeating these steps until you get to the end of the paper.

5, Take 2 new strips of paper and glue them at the ends of our folded strips and keep folding and repeating the steps until you run out of the strips. If you want your caterpillar to be longer then keep adding some strips.

6, Glue the ends together. On a small piece of paper draw caterpillars head, cut it out and glue it on one of the ends of the caterpillar.
