paper and yarn jellyfish craft

This paper and yard jellyfish is a great way for kids to practice their motor skills though punching holes, cutting and tying strings or yarn. Plus it will also be a cool decoration for their room.

Materials:

Coloured paper

Yarn

Scissors

Glue

Hole puncher

Marker

Tutorial:

1, Cut a thick stripe of a coloured paper. Roughly 1/3 of a page. Then use a hole puncher to punch holes evenly spaced into the bottom edge of your paper as shown on the picture.

2, Glue the short ends together to create a roll.

3, Cut yarn strands into your desired length. I used 2 strands for each hole to make it look more full and wavy.

4, Take 2 strands of yarn, put them together, hold them in half. Now put the strands though the hole on the paper to create a little loop, then take the ends of the strand and put them though the loop and pull them until the strand is tied up.

5, repeat the step 4 until you fill all the holes.

6, On your front side draw a face with a marker and then on each top side punch a hole. Take another strand of a yarn and tie one end to the top left hole and the 2nd end to the right top hole to make a loop to hang your jellyfish.
