Spring days can be full of wonder – flowers are blooming and baby animals are being born. By using simple materials such as paper plate, string, paper and feathers, you can make a cool bird nest and bring some fun and creativity into crafting with your kids. Materials:
Paper plate
Brown paint
Rope/string
Coloured paper
Feathers
Glue
Hole puncher
Scissors
Pencil
Step by step instructions:
1, Take a paper plate, cut it in half and paint one half brown.


2, Take a hole puncher and punch holes around the outside edge of the plate.

3, Take a piece of rope, make a knot on one end and start looping it though the holes in whichever order you want.

4, Now let’s make the baby birds. You will need coloured paper, glue, scissors and pencil. Draw and cut out a medium circle and two small circles to make 1 bird.
Take one of the small circles and cut it in half.
From orange paper cut out a beak for the baby birds, then glue all the pieces together and draw little dots as eyes.


5, Glue the birds on top of the nest.

6, Take some feathers and glue them inside and outside the nest. You can even put few on the birds.
