Green fish with mark making technique

Would you like your kids to learn something new while having fun? Then you must try this cool fish that includes mark making.

Materials:

Paper plate

Paint

Coloured paper

Marker

Scissors

Glue

Small objects of various shapes

Tutorial:

1, Take a paper plate and paint it green or any colour you would like your fish to be.

2, Pick a coloured paper, take some paint and little objects you can make marks with.

Look around your house to find little objects. Some examples includes crumbled tinfoil, caps from pens, cardboard, twig,…

Dip your objects in paint and stamp it on the page. Keep going until the whole page is covered. You can use various colours and shapes.

3, Take a compass or find something that has a circular shape. Cut out few medium sizes circles from your stamped page.

4, Bend all the circles in half.

5, Glue the circles on the paper plate. Start gluing from the centre of paper plate to the side. Try to place new circles in between the precious ones, so it looks like flakes on fish skin.

6, Either draw or glue down an eye.

7, Take a coloured paper and cut out fish tails. You will need one for the back, one for the top and one for the bottom then you can glue them to your fish.

8, Take a pink or cream coloured paper and cut out mouth and glue it down.
